CrimeNet in LazyTown - Chapter 12
Robbie followed Carmen as they made their way towards the exhibit of gemstones. The museum was eerily quiet, and they could hear the sound of their footsteps in the empty hallways. They soon reached the room where the gemstones were on display.
“Let’s split up and search,” Carmen whispered. “And be careful. I'm pretty sure we disabled the only alarm system here, but we don’t want to chance raising any hidden alarms.”
Nodding, Robbie began to search the display cases for the diamond. He examined each case carefully, but it seemed like the diamond wasn’t there. He was about to give up when he noticed something odd about one of the cases. There was a small gap between the wall and the display case, and it looked like something was hidden behind it.
“Carmen, over here,” he called out.
Carmen made her way over to him, and he showed her the gap in the wall.
“That’s it,” she exclaimed. “The diamond must be hidden behind the display case.”
Robbie looked around for something to pry the case away from the wall, and found a small metal rod lying nearby. He inserted the rod into the gap and slowly pulled the case away, revealing a small hidden compartment behind it.
Inside the compartment lay the Diamond of Pingjiang, glinting in the dim light of the room. Carmen's eyes widened as she gazed upon the precious gemstone.
"This is it," she whispered. "The Diamond of Pingjiang. We've hit the jackpot."
Robbie couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration as he looked at the diamond. It was beautiful, and it was worth millions.
"Let's get out of here," Carmen said, snapping him out of his reverie. "We have what we came for."
Robbie nodded in agreement, and they quickly made their way out of the museum, making sure to leave no trace of their presence behind. As they emerged into the night air, a rush of excitement washed over them. They had succeeded in their heist, and now they had a precious gem worth a fortune.
Carmen turned to Robbie with a smile, taking his hand.
"That was fun."
Robbie felt a warm sensation spread through him at her touch. He had always felt drawn to Carmen, and now, after the thrill of the heist, he felt a deep connection with her.
"I have to admit, stealing the diamond was a rush." he replied, returning her smile. "I forgot what that was like."
Carmen laughed. "You should keep up with it. You're a natural thief."
Robbie grinned, feeling a sense of pride at her words. With Carmen by his side, he felt like he could accomplish anything.
"Well, what do you say we celebrate?" he suggested. "We could go somewhere nice and toast to our success."
Carmen's eyes glittered mischievously at Robbie's words. "Oh come on, I know you. You don't like going anywhere -- let's just return to your lair and celebrate, hmm?"
Robbie felt his cheeks flush at Carmen's words -- was she suggesting what he thought she was?! And, honestly, he couldn't help but feel a sense of desire as he looked at her.
"Sounds like a good idea," he said, his voice low and husky.
Carmen's smile widened, and she took his hand, leading him to where they had left Roboticus and RoboCrook standing guard.
