CrimeNet in LazyTown - Chapter 4

Down in the lair, Robbie was more than thrilled to have Carmen and RoboCrook there, even if they did startle him into ruining his late-night snack. Finally, he had two people with similar mindsets. He walked them over to the opposite side of his living area, where Roboticus was. He had been shut down for months at this point, but maybe he could be rebooted – and maybe he and RoboCrook could form an alliance, and then maybe they could get rid of Sportacus!

Robbie was excited at the thought.

“This,” he gestures towards Roboticus, “is my bot. He’s been off for a while.”

Carmen looked at Roboticus closely, a fine, well put together bot he was. She turned to RoboCrook. “I think you two would be great partners in crime, what do you think?”

RoboCrook scanned the bot. He was agile, quick, stronger than he was. The perfect compliment to himself.

“I have scanned the form and I do believe he would be a worthwhile companion.”

Robbie looked from RoboCrook to Carmen. “Let me reboot him. See how he interacts with your RoboCrook unit.”

Carmen nodded, watching as Robbie opened a small compartment on Roboticus’ side – the result of an upgrade Robbie had made months prior. There was a small keyboard in there, and he typed a sequence on it, watching as – much to his relief – the bot began to reboot. He closed the compartment and stepped back, waiting for any sign of “life.”

After a few moments, Roboticus looked at him, then looked at Carmen, and then looked at RoboCrook.

“I detect two new humanoid forms. Shall I destroy them?” he asked, turning his attention to Robbie.

“What?! No!” the villain yelped in horror.

“Then what?”

Robbie sighed, pointing towards RoboCrook. “You two are going to work together.”

The bots scanned one another; RoboCrook wanted to try to get more information, now that his counterpart was up and running. His specs were impressive. Roboticus took in information on his counterpart as well.

Corrupted.
New software to obey Carmen Sandiego.
Thief.

“You are a more than adequate companion in crime.” both bots said to one another.

Carmen and Robbie shared a look, unable to hide the amusement on their faces. Their bots were going to get along great.
