Date Night Decisions
Date night was one thing Glanni always looked forward to. He and Sean made sure to set aside one day during the week just to be together, enjoy each other’s presence, and have some fun. Of course, they saw each other every day – Glanni had taken on a job as ACME CrimeNet’s liaison to the criminal world – but since it was in a work capacity, it didn’t count to them.
The only hard part of date night? Trying to figure out where to go to dinner. There were limited places in town, and driving to the nearest town wasn’t exactly something they wanted to do.
“Ramen and boba?” Sean asked, shrugging.
“As good as that sounds, I’ve eaten it nearly five times this week for lunch,” Glanni replied, tapping his pink, glittery fingernails on the desk. “Tacos?”
Sean thought about it for a moment. “Not in the mood. Pizza?”
“No, anything but that. There’s only one pizza place in town, and I’m not stepping foot in it ever again.” Glanni’s face turned red with embarrassment as he spoke.
A curious expression crossed Sean’s face; he wanted to ask what exactly happened, but noticing how embarrassed Glanni was, he decided not to ask questions. He’d probably find out eventually.
