Memories
It had been years since Robbie had been back in LazyTown, having ran off with his then-girlfriend, now-wife, Carmen Sandiego, and joined her criminal empire. The duo didn’t really have a permanent residence, staying at V.I.L.E. headquarters when need be.
A lot had changed; they had a daughter, now 10 years old, named Roxxie. The girl was very much her parents’ daughter… smart, sly, creative, and yes, a little lazy. She was V.I.L.E.’s youngest member, and Robbie and Carmen were quite thrilled with that.
Enjoying a rare quiet moment together, the villainous duo relaxed on the sofa as they watched a little TV. Carmen found herself staring at Robbie every so often, somewhat in disbelief of how things turned out for them. One of those moments, Robbie caught her staring. He looked at his wife with a curious expression on his face.
“What?” he asked.
“Nothing,” the villainess replied with a smile. “Just thinking.”
“About what?”
“Do you remember?”
“Hmmm?”
“How we found our way back to each other?”
Robbie’s expression went from curious to blank as he tried to recall the events from 10 years ago. “I… I remember you tried to open the hatch to the lair.”
“It was heavier than it looked!”
Robbie nodded. “It slammed back down and scared me to the point I threw my bowl of chocolate covered popcorn.”
Carmen couldn’t hold in her laughter at the mental image. “Oh, you poor thing. Also, rest in peace to that popcorn.”
“I was so annoyed.” Robbie chuckled. “And then I went to find out what was going on, and I saw you… of course, I didn’t recognize you at first, then you took off your hat, and then I remembered.”
“Mm-hmm. I’ve never seen anyone’s eyes light up the way yours did.”
A blush crossed Robbie’s cheeks. “You know… I knew then I was going to marry you. Us pulling a museum heist that same night just put the cherry on top.”
“And look at us… still together, successful, still evading CrimeNet.”
“I hope it stays this way forever.”
