New Year's Kiss
It’s New Year’s Eve, not too far from midnight. Robbie had brought Carmen to the “most romantic place in LazyTown”... on top of the billboard. She didn’t mind though, anywhere they were together was romantic enough.
“Sorry it’s not much of a view…” Robbie muttered, looking around at the town from where they were perched.
“It’s still something.” Carmen chuckled. “We’re still able to keep an eye on everything and everyone. I’m a little disappointed we have no snow.”
“I’m glad we have no snow. Too cold. Don’t want to deal with it.”
“We could’ve always made a fire…”
Robbie raised an eyebrow. “We could light something on fire?”
Carmen facepalmed. “Nooo.”
“Aw.”
Two minutes to midnight. “You know,” Carmen began, “I think we’re going to have a lovely future together.”
Robbie smiled. “Of course we are. We’re the most glorious villainous couple this place has ever, and will ever, see.”
“Can’t disagree there.” She could feel the slightest blush creep on her face as Robbie reached over and took her hand. “But did you realize? The future is in the past.”
Robbie looked over at her with a confused expression on his face.
“How long have we known each other?” she asked, with a smile.
“Since high school?”
“Exactly. Now look at us. We ended up finding each other again, and now look what’s happened. Our future is in the past.. It’s all full circle.”
Robbie looked out over the town, taking in Carmen’s words.
“It was meant to be, wasn’t it?”
“I’d like to think so.”
Midnight. Fireworks begin to blast.
“Happy New Year, my beloved.”
LazyTown’s villainous couple shared a New Year’s kiss before settling in on the billboard, just enjoying each other's presence.
