Late night, Stephanie and Ruby were bored. Browsing the internet, they stumbled on a recipe for cupcakes. Chocolate ones with pink icing.

“We should totally make these.” Ruby said, scrolling through the recipe on her tablet.

“I… think we have the ingredients on hand. Let’s go see!”

The girls ran into the kitchen, scouring the cabinets for the needed goods. Sure enough, they did have everything.

“Won’t we wake your uncle if we make these?”

“Uncle Milford’s a heavy sleeper, don’t worry about it.” Stephanie laughed, gathering some of the first-needed ingredients and measuring implements. “Okay, measurements!”

Ruby looked at the screen. “1 ½ cups of flour, 3 cups of sugar –”

“Three cups of sugar?”

“Yep!”

“Check that again, are you sure?”

Zooming in on the screen, Ruby noticed her mistake. “...1 cup of sugar.”

The girls laughed.

“Could you imagine cupcakes with 3 cups of sugar? That would be way too sweet.”

“Dad and Uncle Robbie would still eat them, I guarantee that.”
