CrimeNet in LazyTown - Chapter 5

In the middle of the night, Glanni had gotten up to head to the bathroom. He managed to take two steps before collapsing on the floor. The noise had awoken Sean, who practically jumped off the sill when he noticed Glanni.

Glanni had tried to get up but couldn’t. Seeing the look on Sean’s face, he tried to reassure him. “It’s fine… just unsteady on my feet.” However, Glanni hadn’t realized that his ward had faded.

“Glanni, you’re —”

“I’m fine.”

“Then how come you have a nasty looking gash in your side?”

Oh. Shit.

“I… don’t know?”

Sean huffed, picking Glanni up and bringing him back to the bed. “If you’re going to lie to me, at least try to make it convincing.”

“I’m not…” Glanni trailed off, realizing it wasn’t going to do any good.

“Is this from landing in the junk pile?” Sean asked, looking at Glanni’s injury.

“Yeah…”

He sighed. “Why would you hide this from me — from all of us?” he quickly corrected himself. “It could have been much worse, and what would have happened then?” Sean couldn’t help but be a little angry.

Glanni looked at him with tears in his eyes. “I didn’t — I didn’t want you guys to worry…”

“Yeah, well… didn’t work.” he got up and grabbed the first aid kit out of the closet. “At least let me patch you up.”

The Fae nodded as his beloved came over and sat down on the bed, kit in hand.

Sean gently moved Glanni’s clothing so he could look at the gash. “This is probably going to hurt.” he said, grabbing some wound wash and beginning to clean. Glanni winced, as it stung and not to mention, Sean touching him wasn’t helping.

“The last thing we need is for this to get infected.”

“Yeah…” Glanni opened his mouth to say more, to admit that he was far worse off than he was letting on, but he couldn’t.

After a few moments, Sean was done patching him up, covering the wound with sterile bandage. He covered Glanni up in the bed covers. “You need more sleep.. I’m sure the injury has taken it out of you.”

It didn’t take long for Glanni to drift off to sleep again. Sean was too concerned to sleep, as he lay on the window sill. Each time he felt himself about to drift off, he’d snap awake. It was going to be a long night.
